About the Author
Norman Lewis was an author, grammarian and lexicographer. He taught in the Department of Etymology and Vocabulary at the City College of New York and NYU. Some of his famous works include Roget's New Pocket Thesaurus in Dictionary Form and Word Power Made Easy. Lewis passed away in 2006. William Funk was also a lexicographer. Some of Funk's books include Six Weeks To Words of Power and So You Think It's New. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Literary Digest. Funk passed away in 1965, due to arteriosclerosis.
